O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent police to conduct further investigation in Crime No.156 of 2015 in S.C.No.359 of 2016, on the file of II Additional District Judge, Salem District.

2. It is seen that the 2nd respondent has already completed the investigation and filed a final report in S.C.No.359 of 2016 on the file of the II Additional District Judge, Salem District and it is pending for trial.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that already prosecution witnesses have been examined as PWs.1 to 3. At this stage, the further investigation would affect the entire trial of the case. Therefore, the direction petition cannot be ordered. However, the trial Court is directed to complete the trial within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. Therefore, this petition is devoid of merits. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
