Mr.O.Selvam, learned Government Advocate, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to consider his application dated 11.09.2016 for correcting his name and also his father's name which has been wrongly mentioned as Ezhilan son of Mr.Munusamy instead of G.K.Ezhil son of Mr.G.Kuppusamy in the part 119 of the draft of Electoral Roll https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
of the Madhavaram constituency for the year 2017 and carry out the same, within a time frame.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that in spite of the petitioner's representation dated 11.09.2016, the 1st respondent has not considered the same yet.
4.Mr.O.Selvam, learned Government Advocate, appearing for the respondents submitted that the 1st respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's representation and pass orders, in accordance with law.
5. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 11.09.2016 and pass orders, in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
