O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for issue of writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to act upon the application submitted by the petitioner on 12.10.2023, wherein, the petitioner is seeking for the survey of the subject property and for demarcation of the boundaries.

2.Heard Mr.P.Ganesan, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents.

3.The petitioner is claiming right and title over the subject property by virtue of a registered Sale Deed dated 09.07.2002. The petitioner is also placing reliance upon the patta that was granted in her name in Patta No.922. The petitioner wanted a survey to be conducted in the subject property for fixing the boundaries. Accordingly, the application was submitted and the necessary charges were also paid. Since the same was not acted upon, the present writ petition has been filed 2/4

before this Court seeking for appropriate directions. 4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the 2nd respondent to act upon the application submitted by the petitioner on 12.10.2023 and to conduct the survey in the subject property based on the title deeds and also the patta that stands in the name of the petitioner. This process shall be completed, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. If there are any rival claims, such survey shall be conducted in their presence.
