Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Habeas Corpus, calling for the records in C.M.P.No.8/Immoral Traffic Offender/2025(M1), dated 15.02.2025 on the file of the second respondent and quash the detention as illegal and direct the respondents to produce the detenu namely Siva @ Sivan @ Sivam, aged about 40 years, now confined at Central Prison at Salem, before this Court and set him at liberty forthwith.

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner, as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, by producing a copy of the Government Order in G.O.Rt.No.1536, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XIV) Department, dated 24.03.2025, submitted that the detention order has already been revoked.

2. Recording the above submission, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
