This petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent to register F.I.R. against the Executive Officer, Sentharapatti Village on the petitioner's complaint dated 08.06.2016.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent-State.

On the complaint given by the petitioner, petition enquiry is pending in CSR No.126 of 2016. The allegation in the complaint is that the petitioner had erected a banner during the first week of June 2016 and that the municipal authorities demanded removal of the banner. When the petitioner undertook to remove the banner on 09.06.2016, it is alleged that on 08.06.2016, the banner has been removed by the municipal authorities.

Admittedly, the banner was not kept with due permission from the authorities. Therefore, no positive direction can be issued to the police to register an F.I.R. against the authorities for removing the banner. In the result, this petition is closed with the above observation.
