ORDER

The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to consider his application dated 29.07.2015 and take steps for grant of the refund expeditiously.

2. Mr.John Zachariah, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner has given the application on 29.07.2015, the respondent has not considered the same yet.

3. Mr.P.V.Selvakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent and submitted that the respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's application dated 29.07.2015, on merits and in accordance with law, within a stipulated time.

4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and also taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 29.07.2015, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
