ORDER

This writ petition is heard through Video-Conferencing, on account of the COVID-19 pandemic situation.

2. The petitioner has sought for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to sanction agricultural loan to him.

3. It is stated that, on 12.11.2012, the first respondent had communicated to the petitioner to approach the second respondent, who is the Zonal Manager, Indian Bank, Vellore, for further action regarding the sanction of the loan. It is not stated whether the petitioner had approached the second respondent in this regard.

4. Though the writ petition itself is filed in April, 2013, no steps have been taken even by the petitioner, to enquire about the status of his application for the loan. After passage of seven years, it is not possible to give a direction to the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner, when the petitioner himself has not approached the second respondent in this regard.
