O R D E R

The petition has been filed seeking to direct the second respondent to register the complaint dated 26.12.2018 given by the petitioner.

2.The crux of the allegation in the petition is that one Krishnarajan, D.S.P of Vigilance and Anti Corruption, Krishnagiri and was previously working as D.S.P of Vigilance and Anti Corruption at Namakkal and that during his tenure as D.S.P at Namakkal, he had indulged in various corrupt practices and amassed assets both movable and immovable in his name and in the name of his relatives which were disproportionate to his known source of income.

3.In respect of the same, the petitioner had preferred complaints dated 26.12.2018 to various authorities including the respondent police. Thereafter, he had sent a representation dated 26.12.2018 to the first respondent and since no action had been taken, he has come up with this petition. 4.When the matter is taken up today, Mr.C.Emalias, the learned Additional Advocate General assisted by Mr.K.Prabakar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, representing the respondents would submit that based on the complaint of the petitioner dated 26.12.2018, the first respondent had initiated internal enquiry. He would also submit that the respondents have also received three more complaints against the delinquent officer, and that enquiry is conducted in respect of all the complaints. He would further submit that only after the outcome of the enquiry, appropriate action can be initiated in accordance with law.

5.At this juncture, the learned counsel for the respondents would submit that the Court may fix the time frame for completion of the enquiry.

6. In view of the same, the respondents are directed to complete the enquiry within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on completion of enquiry proceed in accordance with law based on the outcome of the enquiry.

7.With this observation, this criminal original petition stands closed.
