.. Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus directing the respondent forthwith produce the body and person of petitioner's wife Haritha aged about 21 years before this Court and set her at liberty.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by C.T.SELVAM, J.) Petitioner, alleged husband of the detenue Haritha, aged 21 years, has filed the present petition to cause production of his missing wife before this Court and to set her at liberty.

Alleged detenue Haritha has been produced by the 2nd respondent police before this Court today. On enquiry, she stated that the petitioner is not her husband and is a friend of her brother. She has also stated, she has married her paternal aunt's son in January.

The said submission of the detenue is recorded. Accordingly, the Habeas Corpus Petition is closed as nothing further remains to be considered in this petition. If petitioner is to contend that he is the husband of the detenue, it is for him to work out his remedy in due process of law.
