..Respondent(s) PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents herein to consider the various representations including the latest representation of the petitioner dated 09.02.2026 in so far as in the said representation the petitioner had sought for the respondents to provide details pertaining to the import consignment made, vide Bill of Lading No.OOLU2754518510 dated 25.01.2025 and detention and seizure of goods pertaining to the above referred

two bill of lading any further proceedings initiated pursuant to the detention/ seizure of the above said imported goods, vide the above referred two bill of lading any order passed by the competent authority towards any extension of time granted for further investigation to be undertaken in this matter and also to provide the details of any incident report/ investigation report sent to the group concerned and to proceed in accordance with law, for the issuance of the show cause notice and accordingly to adjudicate the same in a manner known to law For Petitioner(s):

ORDER

By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents herein to consider the petitioner's representations including the latest representation of the petitioner dated 09.02.2026 wherein the petitioner is stated to have sought from the respondents details pertaining to import consignment made vide Bill of Lading No.OOLU2754518510 dated 25.01.2025 and No.A78FX03509 dated 06.02.2025 and detention and seizure of goods pertaining to the above referred two bill of lading, any further proceedings initiated pursuant thereto including any order passed by the competent authority towards extension of time granted for further investigation to be undertaken in this matter and also to provide the details of any incident

report/ investigation report sent to the group concerned and to proceed in accordance with law, for the issuance of the show cause notice and accordingly to adjudicate the same in a manner known to law

3. Learned counsel for respondent would submit that they would consider the representations while also making it clear that the petitioner's right if any to seek for documents would possibly arise only if a show cause notice comes to be issued.

4. Admittedly, now no show cause notice has been issued. This Court does not propose to get into the merits of the submission of either side.

5. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider petitioner's representations and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and other interested parties.
