THE HON'BLE CHIEF JUSTICE and D.BHARATHA CHAKRAVARTHY,J COMMON ORDER (Order of the Court was made by The Honourable Chief Justice) These petitions are filed by the petitioners seeking impleadment.

2. We have heard the respective learned counsel appearing for the petitioners.

3. The respective learned counsel appearing for the petitioners in WMP.Nos.8286 and 8383 of 2022 submit that pursuant to the prayer made in the main writ petition, the official respondents initiated action against them and therefore, they are necessary parties to be impleaded as party respondents in the writ petition. It is for the reason that most of them are occupiers of the land pursuant to the sale deeds executed by the Tamil Nadu Slum 1/3

Clearance Board now known as Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board and therefore, they are not encroachers of the land. If at all any notice for eviction is to be given by the Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board, it cannot be in the manner done by the official respondents.

4. The petitions are not seriously opposed.

5. Accordingly, these petitions are allowed and impleadment is ordered. Amended cause title shall be filed within one week.

6. The newly impleaded parties, who are all occupiers, are given liberty to file a counter to the main writ petition within two weeks along with documents to show their rights and title to the property in question.
