The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 16.02.2023, for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 8(c) read with 20(b)(ii)(B), 25, 29(1) NDPS Act, 1985, in Crime No.31 of 2023, on the file of the respondent Police, seeks bail.
2. The case of the prosecution is that on 16.02.2023 at about 7.15 a.m., the petitioner along with other accused was found selling Ganja in an Auto and on search, 4 kgs. of Ganja and cash of Rs.40,050/- were seized along with the auto bearing Regn.No.TN 04 AY 2380. Hence, the case.
3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and she has been falsely implicated in this case and she has been suffering incarceration from 16.02.2023. Hence, he prayed to grant bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police opposed for grant of bail to the petitioner stating that the petitioner was found in possession of 4 kgs. of Ganja and she has got 3 previous cases of same nature and that she was arrested only on 16.02.2023.
5. Taking into account the previous antecedents of the petitioner and the fact that the petitioner has been arrested recently on 16.02.2023, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner for the present.
6. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed for the present.
