Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1 to 3 respondents to dispose the petitioner application dated 19.04.2018 in pertain to the issuance of SC/ST Hindu Kurumans Community Certificate to petitioner son viz. E.Gokulakrishnan and grand children viz. (1) G.K.Dev Sacheen,

[Order was delivered by R.SUBBIAH,J] The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to consider her representation dated 19.04.2018 and issue a community certificate to petitioner's son viz. E.Gokulakrishnan and grand children viz. (1) G.K.Dev Sacheen, (2) G.K.Saisanjay and (3) G.K.Saiajay indicating the community as Hindu Kurumans (SC/ST).

2. According to the petitioner, she belongs to Hindu Kurumans, a scheduled tribe community. Further, according to the petitioner, she holds such a community certificate. Petitioner has submitted representations to the respondents seeking issuance of a community certificate to her son and grand children. The grievance of the petitioner is that she has been approaching the respondents since the year 1997 and that finally she submitted a representation on 19.04.2018, but till date, no action has been taken. Having no other alternative remedy, petitioner has approached this Court by way of this Writ Petition.
3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents.
4. Learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents submitted that orders would be passed on the representation of the petitioner, after conducting enquiry, within a period of six weeks.
Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the respondents to conduct an enquiry and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, in any event, within a period of six weeks from today. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
