JUDGMENT
(Judgment was delivered by S.M.Subramaniam J.) The writ petitioner is the appellant before this Court. The writ petition has been instituted seeking a direction to the respondents to take action on the petitioner's complaint in C.S.R.No.213 of 2017 dated 30.07.2017 on the file of the fourth respondent against the respondents 6 to 8 who have stolen Rs.6,00,000/" (six lakhs only) and recover the same and also directing the respondents 1 and 2 initiate departmental action against the culprits for stealing the money belonging to the Tamil Nadu Forest Plantation Corporation.
2. The Writ Court disposed of the petition relying on the judgments of the Division Bench of this Court in Criminal Original Petition in Crl.O.P.No.13681 of 2018 dated 20.09.2018 that direction seeking registration of an FIR (First Information Report) cannot be entertained. Page No.2 of 5
3. This Court is of the considered view that in the present case, if at all the police has failed to initiate appropriate action, the petitioner has to approach the appropriate Court/Forum for the purpose of redressal of his grievances. Contrarily writ proceedings seeking a direction to register an FIR (First Information Report) have been rightly declined by the Writ Court.
