ORDER
This Court, by an order dated 28.2.2014 in W.P.No.6440 of 2014, directed the first respondent herein to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 17.1.2014 in the light of G.O.Ms.No.39, Rural Development Department, dated 13.6.2011 and pass appropriate orders on merits within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of that order. Alleging that the said order has not been complied with, the present contempt petition has been filed.
2. When the matter was taken up for hearing on 6.10.2016, learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that the order of this Court has been complied with and he had also produced a copy of the order. However, learned counsel for the petitioners was
not present. Hence, the matter was directed to be posted today under the caption 'for dismissal'. Even today, when the matter was called, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioners. Hence, the contempt petition is dismissed for non-prosecution. 20.10.2016 sbi
