PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, pleased to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 2 and 3 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.12.2022 and accord necessary adequate protection to the petitioner's life and limb. The Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 2 and 3 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.12.2022 and accord necessary and adequate protection to the petitioner's life and limb. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that petitioner is social worker and political activist and he is also member of Barathia Janatha Party (BJP) and holding the post of State Secretary, Minority Morcha, BJP. He is highlighting socio-political issue particularly among the minorities and the oppressed people. Certain political parties and other foreign funded Christian Missionaries are threatening the petitioner with dire consequences including lodging false cases, threat to his life. Therefore, he gave a representation to the Superintendent of Police, Cuddalore dated 08.12.2022 seeking Police protection. Till now, his representation was not considered favourably. Therefore, this petition.
3.In response, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side)
submitted that there are criminal cases pending against this petitioner also. He faces no threat from anyone and he prayed for dismissal of this petition. 4.Considered the rival submissions and perused the records. 5.In the light of the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for parties, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.12.2022 and pass appropriate orders in the manner known to law.
