Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to pay subsistence allowance to the petitioners and to conclude the departmental enquiry at earliest.

For Petitioners : Mr.K.Sasindran For Respondent : Mr.S.Muthuraj C O M M O N O R D E R The petitioners were suspended from service on 22.02.2013, 17.07.2014 and 11.08.2014 respectively, pending initiation of disciplinary proceedings. It is the grievance of the petitioners that they were not paid subsistence allowance. The petitioners, therefore, seek a direction to the respondent to pay them subsistence allowance and a further direction to conclude the disciplinary proceedings.

2. The learned Standing Counsel on instructions submitted that disciplinary proceedings would be completed within a period of three months and further submitted that subsistence allowance would be paid to the petitioners.

3. The respondent is directed to conclude the disciplinary proceedings initiated against the petitioners as expeditiously as possible and in any case within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. out that the petitioners should be paid subsistence allowance during the currency of disciplinary proceedings.

4. The writ petitions are disposed of with the above direction. No costs. Connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
