ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction directing the respondent to pay the family pension arrears.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the first respondent and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner's husband was a retired Conductor. After his retirement, he had received pension and died on 15.04.2017. The petitioner, being wife of the petitioner, is entitled for family pension. However, she was paid family pension only from the month of December 2017. The arrears of family pension was pending from the month of May 2017 to November 2017. Though the petitioner submitted repeated representations, it was not considered so far.

4. Considering the facts submitted, the respondents are directed to disburse the arrears of family pension due to the petitioner from the month of May 2017 to November 2017 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands

disposed of. No costs.
