ORDER

This writ petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus seeking a direction against the respondents to consider the representation given by the petitioner on 11.01.2025.

2.In the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition, it had been stated that the petitioner had joined as Junior Clerk cum Cashier on 17.08.1994 in Mahe Service Cooperative Bank Limited / 3rd respondent. He had completed seven years of service and was eligible to be promoted in the year 2002. But however, the 3rd respondent opened a new branch and the petitioner was directed to work as Accountant in the place of another individual, who was transferred to evening branch. The petitioner had been raising issues about non-grant of promotion. The petitioner was then issued with a charge memo and it is contended that punishment had been imposed after enquiry demoting the petitioner to a lower post and with holding three increments and also being transferred to another branch. The petitioner also

filed I.D.No.79/2012 against the Bank before the Labour Court at Puducherry. The petitioner had since retired from service, but claims that pension has not been given to him. In this connection, he had given a representation.

3.Heard the learned Additional Government Pleader for the 1st and 2nd respondents.

4.A direction is given to the 3rd respondent to examine the representation given by the petitioner and pass appropriate order on the same within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Necessary procedure as ennunciated by law to be followed including grant of an opportunity of being heard. 5.With the above observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
