ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.M.R.Thangavel, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mrs.R.Anitha, learned Special Government Pleader, for the first respondent and Mr.Vijay Meghanath, learned counsel for the second respondent.

2. The present writ petition is filed as a public interest litigation. The petitioner seeks a direction against the respondents to conduct an inquiry into the irregularities in the admission process of NRI quota in the constituent colleges of the second respondent university, and the colleges affiliated to the second respondent university.

3. The persons, who according to the petitioner were unauthorisedly given admission in NRI quota, are not parties to the writ petition. The specific details of the alleged irregularities also do not appear. Moreover, the petitioner is from the State of Kerala and seeks directions with regard to the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University.

4. We asked learned counsel for the petitioner as to whether the petitioner applied under NRI quota to any of the constituent colleges of the second respondent University; the answer was in the negative. The petitioner would not be remotely concerned with the issue.

5. In view of all the aforesaid facts, we are not inclined to entertain the writ petition. The writ petition is dismissed. There will be no order as to costs.
