ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.] Seeking a direction to the respondents to produce the body of the petitioner's daughter, namely, Saroja, wife of Duraisamy, aged about 45 years and the petitioner's son-in-law, namely Duraisamy, son of Chinnasamy, aged about 52 years, before this Court and set them at liberty, the present Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed.

2. This writ petition has been filed, inter alia, alleging that the petitioner's daughter is missing. Though the detenus returned back, considering the nature of the allegations involved, this Court directed the Superintendent of Police, Erode District to file status report.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, placing reliance upon the status report filed by the Superintendent of Police, Erode District has submitted that both the complaints have been closed.

4. In such view of the matter, we are not inclined to keep this petition pending any longer and the Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed. However, liberty is given to the petitioner to workout the remedy in the manner known to law, if so advised.
