PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd and 3rd respondents to issue appropriate instructions / orders to the 4th respondent to revise the pension / family pension for the members of the first petitioner union, including the second petitioner, who all are retired before 01.01.2016, as per the recommendations of Seventh Pay Commission and in accordance with G.O.(Ms) No.313, dated 25.10.2017, G.O. (Ms) No.333, dated 09.11.2017, G.O.(Ms) No.134, Transport (D) Department, dated 09.04.2018 and the 2nd respondent's circular No.23/P2/TNSTC EPFT/2018-2173 dated 09.05.2018. For Petitioner :

ORDER

Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2.The grievance of the petitioners is that their request to revise the pension / family pension has not been considered by the respondents in spite of the representations made by the first petitioner Union as well as the second respondent dated 03.09.2019.

3.Heard the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioners.

4.Considering the limited prayer, without going into the merits of the case, a direction is given to the respondents to consider the petitioners' representation dated 03.09.2019 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
