BY ITS GENERAL MANAGER, 12,RAMAKRISHNA ROAD, SALEM 07 Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the affidavit filed therewith the High Court will be pleased to Direct the 2nd Respondent to pay the Petitioner his last drawn wages and other attendant benefits as contemplated under Section 17-B of the I.D. Act 1947 (in WMP.No.7833/2018) in WP.No.19435/2017.

Order : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of M/S.K.V.SHANMUGANATHAN, Advocate for the petitioner the court made the following order:- This Miscellaneous Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the 2nd respondent to pay 17-B wages, during the pendency of the writ petition.

2. Learned counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent submitted that the petitioner will be permitted to join duty without prejudice to the contentions raised by the Management/writ petitioner in this writ petition. 3. Under such circumstances, the workman/ 2nd respondent in the writ petition is directed to report duty on 02.03.2020. The Management shall take the workman into service from that date onwards and pay the monthly salary from https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

March, 2020 onwards. Insofar as the wages from the date of filing of the writ petition is concerned, the Management is directed to pay the last drawn wage to the petitioner from the date of filing of the writ petition till 02.03.2020, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
