These petitions are filed to condone the delay of 289 days in preferring the above Criminal Appeals.

2. Though notice served on the respondent in both cases and their names being printed in the cause list, there is no representation for the respondents.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner.

4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and on being satisfied with the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavits filed in support of these petitions, the delay of 289 days in filing the Criminal Appeals is condoned and the petitions are ordered.
