Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to consider and pass order in the statutory appeal dated 07.12.2017 and 27.07.2018 against the order of punishment made in proceedings No.15381/VI/2013 on the file of the 2nd respondent dated 25.10.2017.

The relief as such sought for in the present writ petition is for a direction to direct 1st respondent to consider and pass order in the statutory appeal dated 07.12.2017 and 27.07.2018 against the order of punishment made in proceedings No.15381/VI/2013 on the file of the 2nd respondent dated 25.10.2017

2. The grievances of the writ petitioner is that he preferred an appeal against an order of punishment before the first respondent on 07.12.2017. The said statutory appeal preferred by the writ petitioner is yet to be considered by respondent. Long pendency of the appeal is causing denial of the service benefits to the writ petitioner.

3.Thus, the learned counsel made a submission that the appeal is directed to be disposed of at the earliest possible time. The order of punishment was issued on 25.10.2017 and the appeal was preferred by the writ petitioner on 07.12.2017. 4.Thus without going into the merits of the matter, the first respondent is directed to consider the appeal and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.The writ petitioner is directed to enclose a copy of the appeal on additional grounds and all relevant documents along with the orders passed in this writ petition. 6.With these directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
