This contempt petition has been filed against the noncompliance of the order and direction issued by this Court in W.P.No.6647 of 2016, dated 24.02.2016.

2. In terms of the order and direction issued by this Court, dated 24.02.2016, the petitioner should have been heard before order was passed. Mr.C.Arulselvam, [Junior https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ Engineer (Est.) (O & M), Tamil Nadu Electricity Board,

Sethiathope, Chidambaram Taluk], is present in Court and accepts his mistake in passing an order, dated 02.07.2016, without hearing the petitioner.

In the light of the same, the order passed by the respondent-contemnor, dated 02.07.2016, is set-aside and the respondent is directed to issue notice to the petitioner, hear the petitioner's contentions and then pass a reasoned order on merits and in accordance with law, in terms of the direction issued in the Writ Petition, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
