Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to issue the patta in favour of the petitioner's property (No.155, Perumal Koil Street, Chinna Kovalavedu, Kunnam Post (Thenneri Via), Old SF.No.197/2, New SF.No.197/8, Walajapath Taluk, Kanchipuram District and consider the petitioner's representation to the respondents on 17.12.2018. Mr.S.N.Parthasarathy, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the second respondent to issue patta in respect of the property at No.155, Perumal Koil Street, Chinna Kovalavedu, Kunnam Post (Thenneri Via), Old SF.No.197/2, New SF.No.197/8, Walajapath Taluk, Kanchipuram District, based on his representation dated 17.12.2018.

3. Heard both sides.

4. The grievance of the petitioner before this Court is that even though he made the representation on 17.12.2018, seeking for issuance of patta, the respondents has not considered the same so far.

This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the second respondent to consider and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of, only by directing the second respondent to consider the representation dated 17.12.2018 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner and other interested parties, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the second respondent within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
