ORDER
This petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent police to produce the daughter of the petitioner and to hand over her to the petitioner.
2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions, submitted that the daughter of the petitioner namely V.Jayasuriya, has married the second respondent and she is now four months pregnant. She has given in writing to the police on 11.03.2019 that she is married and living happily with the second respondent and she does not intend to go to her parents.

The learned counsel for the second respondent submitted that the second respondent has married the above said Jayasuriya and they are presently residing at Chathirai Mettu Colony, Thiruvallur District. The learned counsel further submitted that there is no illegal detention of the detenue as claimed by the learned counsel for the petitioner.
4. In view of the fact that the petitioner's daughter has gone on her own and married the second respondent and given in writing that she is not willing to go with her parents, this Court cannot give a direction to the respondents to hand over the detenue to the petitioner. Admittedly, the detenue is a major.
5. This Court is therefore not in a position to pass any further orders in this case. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
