ORDER

This Writ petition has been filed for issuing Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner on 12.12.2019 within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

2. Initially, the Tahsildhar had refused to transfer the patta and had rejected the claim made by the petitioner by order dated 25.10.2019. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has filed an appeal before the first respondent on 12.12.2019 and the same is pending. The grievance of the petitioner is that no action has been taken on the appeal filed by the petitioner and therefore, he approached this Court seeking for appropriate directions.

3. Mr.K.Parameswaran, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted that some time may be fixed for the disposal of the appeal and the same will be complied with by the first respondent.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief that has been sought for in the Writ petition, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the appeal filed on 12.12.2019, after issuing appropriate notice to the petitioner and any other interested party, strictly in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the first respondent along with the copy of the appeal, dated 12.12.2019, and a copy of this order. 5.This Writ petition is disposed of, with the above direction. No costs.
