Mr.V.Prabhu, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondent. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the respondent to issue patta and dispose of her representation dated 16.02.2019.

3. It is stated that the petitioner's father has purchased the property situated at No.14, Changalaneer Pillaiyar Koil Street, Mylapore, Chennai-600 004, Corporation Division No.147, comprised in R.S.No.3257/2 measuring an extent of 1012 sq.ft from one Ms.Caroline Prakasam and two others and registered the same, vide sale deed bearing Document No.2174 of 1994 dated 15.09.1994 on the file of the Sub-Registrar, Mylapore. It is further stated that the petitioner's father died intestate on 18.11.2005 and the petitioner is the only surviving legal heir https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

of her father. It is further stated that the petitioner made a representation on 16.02.2019 to the respondent seeking to issue patta in her favour in respect of the above said property. The grievance of the petitioner is that the said representation has not been considered by the respondent so far. Hence, the present writ petition is filed before this Court with the relief as stated supra.

This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner as it is for the respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law. Thus, this writ petition is disposed of, only with a direction to the respondent to consider the application of the petitioner 06.02.2019 and pass appropriate orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner and other interested parties, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the respondent within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
