Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 14.03.2018 and consequently, direct the respondent to grant permission to conduct the petty shop (bunk kadai) near Anna Nagar Bus Depot.

ORDER

Mr.T.C.Gopalakrishnan, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondent. By consent of the learned counsel appearing for the parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself.

2. This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 14.03.2018 and to grant permission to conduct petty shop near Anna Nagar Bus Depot.

3. The case of the petitioner is that he studied up to 6th standard and he is having disability of 40%. He was already married and having two female children and he is suffering financially. Hence, he gave a representation to the respondent to issue licence to conduct a bunk shop. Since no action was taken, the present Writ Petition.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner would be satisfied, if a direction is issued to the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

respondent-Corporation to consider the representation of the petitioner.

5. The learned Standing Counsel for the respondent submitted that the respondent is ready to pass orders on the application of the petitioner on merits.

6. In the light of the submissions of the learned counsels on either side and the prayer sought for in this Writ Petition, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 14.03.2018, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks.

7. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
