This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to transfer the case in Crime No. 989 of 2023 from the file of Thiruvennainallur Police Station to CBCID, Villupuram, to unearth the murder of the petitioner's mother, Kanagambaram.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents submitted that the referred charge sheet in RCS No. 26 of 2024 has been filed on 20.01.2024 before the learned District Munsif-cumJudicial Magistrate, Thiruvennainallur. Therefore, no investigation is pending on the file of the third respondent in Crime No. 989 of 2023.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was not served with the referred charge sheet in Crime No. 989 of 2023.

In view of the above, the third respondent is directed to serve a copy of the referred charge sheet in RCS No. 26 of 2024 to the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the same, the petitioner is at liberty to file a protest petition in the manner known to law, if he is so advised.

5. With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 18.02.2025 Index:Yes/No kv To
