Respondent Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent to grant extension of time for the petitioner to comply with OTS dated 18.08.2022 and to record full satisfaction through appropriation of monies already deposited with the respondent bank.

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Mr.Sankaranarayanan, learned Senior Counsel appearing for Mr.R.Vidhya Shankar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.Kalyanaraman, learned counsel appearing for M/s.Aiyar & Dolia for the respondent.

2. The prayer made herein to grant extension of time to comply with the terms of the One Time Settlement proposal cannot be granted by this Court, however, it is for the bank to consider the request of the petitioner on its own merits.

3. The petitioner may approach the bank and the bank may consider the request of the petitioner on its own merits and in accordance with its policy.
