[R2 & R3 impleaded as per order dated 4.12.14 in MP.1/14] Prayer: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus directing the respondents to produce the petitioner's daughter Priya, aged about 20 years, or her body before this court and consequently handover the daughter to the petitioner.

This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents to produce the petitioner's daughter, by name, Priya, aged about 20 years, before this Court and set her at liberty.
2. According to the petitioner, her daughter, the detenue herein, was married to the 2nd respondent herein, and that the marriage was an arranged one. The detenue and the 2nd respondent lived happily for some time. As there was a matrimonial dispute between them, the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
detenue had left the home and that her whereabouts were not known. In this connection, a complaint was given to the respondent-Police on 26.9.2014. Since no effective steps were taken on the complaint, the present has been filed.
3. Today, when the matter has been taken up for hearing, at the instance of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the detenue was produced before the Court by the respondent-Police. On being enquired, the detenue has stated that she left her matrimonial home, on her own and now she is willing to go along with her mother, the petitioner herein. As the detenue is a major, we permit her to go as per her wish. With the above observations, the Habeas Corpus Petition is closed.
