Respondent Prayer:- Contempt petition has been filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, praying to punish the respondent for committing grave contempt and gross disobedience of the order passed by this Court in W.P.No.28909 of 2018 dated 16.12.2021 and impose exemplary costs on the respondent.

O R D E R

This Contempt Petition has been filed to punish the respondent for non compliance of the order dated 16.12.2021 passed by this Court in W.P.No.28909 of 2018, thereby directing the respondent to mutate the revenue records and issue patta in respect of the property comprised in R.S.No.196/3, re-numbered as 196/3A2 to an extent of 65 cents situated at Sundakkamuthur Village, Coimbatore (South), Coimbatore. 2.

The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submitted that already Coimbatore South Taluk fabricated in the year 2018 itself and the said land falls under the Taluk of Palladam. That apart, to mutate the revenue records, it has to be ratified by the Revenue Authorities and therefore, he requested to extend the time. 3.

Considering the above submission, this Court feels that no contempt is made out as against the respondent herein. However, The Tahsildar, Palladam Taluk, is directed to comply with the direction issued by this Court with regard to mutation of revenue records and issue patta in respect of the property comprised in R.S.No.196/3, re-numbered as 196/3A2

to an extent of 65 cents situated at Sundakkamuthur Village, in favour of the petitioner, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.
