ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to take action on the petitioner's representation dated 27.12.2022 seeking to carry out the correction in the death certificate of the deceased father of the petitioner.
2. Ms.P.T.Ramadevi, learned counsel appearing takes notice for Respondents 1 & 2

It is the case of the petitioner that the father of the petitioner died on 10.02.2004, pursuant to which, death certificate was issued by the Chennai Corporation in respect of the deceased, in which, the name of the deceased has been wrongly mentioned as Jothy Ramalingam Son of Raju Mudhaliyar instead of S.Jothi Son of Samantham. In order to rectify the said error, the petitioner made a representation on 27.12.2022 to the respondents. However, till date, the same has not been considered. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

Though very many grounds have been raised, however, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that it would suffice if this Court issues a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 27.12.2022 and pass appropriate orders on the same in accordance with law, within the time that may be stipulated by this Court.
5. On the above contention, this Court heard the learned Counsel appearing for respondents.

In view of the limited relief sought for by the petitioner, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the 1st respondent to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation dated 03.02.2023 which seeking rectify the error in the death certificate of the deceased father of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders on the same in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. There shall be no order as to costs.
