The subject matter of challenge in the present writ petition pertains to the rejection of the request made by the petitioner to adjust the electricity tax paid by the petitioner towards demand charges.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that during the pendency of this writ petition, the company itself was closed and service connection was withdrawn.
