The petitioner has filed this petition, seeking a direction to the second respondent to pass orders on his appeal dated 23.02.2016 and to promote him as Superintendent from 05.02.2013, the date on which his juniors got promoted, with all consequential service, monetary and attendant benefits within a stipulated period that may be fixed by this Court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2.The grievance of the petitioner is that after the probation was declared on 12.07.2004, he was promoted as Assistant in the office of the Joint Director of Collegiate Education, Thirunelveli on 01.09.2006 and the service of the petitioner was regularised in the post of Assistant on 01.08.2008. As the juniors of the petitioner were given promotion to the post of Superintendent, the petitioner made representations dated 27.10.2014 and 13.11.2014 to the respondents requesting them to promote him as Superintendent from 05.02.2013, the date on which his juniors got promoted. But there was no response from the respondents. Therefore, he is before this Court.

3.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

4.In the light of the limited relief sought for in the writ petition, without going into the merits of the case, the second respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's appeal dated 27.10.2014 and 13.11.2014 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
