Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to settle the terminal benefits payable to the deceased father of the petitioner T.Arulmurugan who expired on 16.11.2009 while working as Office Assistant in the fourth respondent school, along with interest for the belated payment at the rate of 18% per annum, within a time frame to be fixed by this Hon'ble Court and consequently directing the respondent to consider the petitioner for appointment on 1/4

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to settle the terminal benefits payable to his deceased father and to consider him for appointment on compassionate grounds by considering his representation dated 28.09.2015.

2.When the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that a portion of the prayer i.e., seeking direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to settle the terminal benefits due to the petitioner's father has been settled, however, the petitioner's representation seeking appointment on compassionate grounds has not yet been considered. 3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the 2/4

first respondent as well as the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 2 and 3 submitted that if the petitioner fulfils all the eligible criteria and if he produces all the relevant documents, his representation would be considered. 4.In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to produce all the relevant documents to the respondents within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the same, the respondents shall consider the petitioner's representation dated 28.09.2015 seeking appointment on compassionate grounds and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks thereafter. 5.With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
