This application has been filed under Section 29A of the of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, to extend the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal for further period.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the applicant as well as the learned counsel appearing for respondents, who would submit that, the said statutory period of 12+ six months is going to expire by 02.04.2019. In the meanwhile, the arbitration proceedings has reached the stage of arguments of both sides and once the argument is completed, the Arbitrator has to make a final Award. Therefore for the said purpose, they sought for the further time of six moths.

3. In view of the said submission made by both sides, the mandate of the Arbitrator is hereby extended for a further period of six months from 03.04.2019 and within which, it is expected that, the Arbitrator will complete the arbitration proceedings and pass the final award.
