CRIME NO.1287 OF 2018 Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein the High Court will be pleased to modify the order passed in the above Crl.O.P.No.4449 of 2019 in Crime No.1287 of 2019 dated 20.02.2019 permitting the petitioner to appear before any police station within the jurisdiction of chennai district instead of Inspector of police, bargur Police Station, Bargur Police Station, Krishnagiri District Order : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition and upon hearing the arguments of M/S.R.KANNAN, Advocate for the petitioner and of M/S.C.RAGHAVAN Government Advocate on behalf of the Respondent the court made the following order:- This petition has been filed seeking to modify the condition imposed by this Court by an order dated 20.02.2019 made in Crl.O.P.No.4449 of 2019 for the offences punishable under Sections 7, 9(2) under the Cigarette and other TOBACCO Products Act, 2003 r/w.328 of IPC in Crime No.1287 of 2018, while granting anticipatory bail.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is complying with the condition regularly before the Inspector of Police, Bargur Police Station. Hence, he seeks for modification.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the State submitted that the petitioner is complying with the condition regularly.
4. Considering the nature of the offence and the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, the condition imposed on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
the petitioner in Crl.O.P.No.4449 of 2019, dated 20.02.2019 that the petitioner shall report before the Inspector of Police, Bargur Police Station daily at 10.30 a.m. and 5.30 p.m., until further orders is modified to the effect that "the petitioner shall appear before the respondent police daily at 10.30 a.m. and 5.30 p.m., until further orders".
