ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to call for the records relating to First Information Report in Crime No.224 of 2022 on the file of Inspector of Police, Velur Police Station, Namakkal and quash the same.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, there is no representation for the petitioner. Heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the 1st respondent Police and perused the materials available on record.

3. F.I.R is not an encyclopaedia and it sets the law in motion. The investigation only reveals the commission of offence and the truth of the case. On a reading of F.I.R, it is found that the petitioners have been arrayed as A1 and A3 and there are prima facie allegations available as against the petitioners. This Court is not satisfied with the grounds taken by the petitioner to quash the F.I.R.

4. In view of the same, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.

However, the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation and file a charge sheet within a period of two months, failing which, the Superintendent of Police, Namakkal is directed to appear before this Court.
