Prayer:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to consider and dispose of the petitioners representation dated 8.9.2025 to the 1st respondent to sanction and disburse the petitioner family pension, DCRG, lump sum death benefits, and all other terminal benefits admissible on the death of Late D.Karunanithi, within a time frame period. ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for the following reliefs:- "directing the respondents herein to consider and dispose of the petitioners representation dated 8.9.2025 to the 1st respondent to sanction and disburse the petitioner family pension, DCRG, lump sum death benefits, and all other terminal benefits admissible on the death of Late D.Karunanithi, within a time frame period."

2. The case of the petitioner is that she is the wife of late D. Karunanithi, who was working as a Village Assistant and retired from service and subsequently died on 13.03.2022. The petitioner would submit that in the service records and the family pension nomination form of her late husband, her

name has been recorded as the spouse and nominee for receipt of family pension. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a detailed representation dated 08.09.2025 to the 1st respondent, requesting sanction of family pension and all death-cum-retirement benefits, including the benefits under the Family Security Fund Scheme, in her favour. However, till date, the said representation has not been considered. Hence, the present Writ Petition. 3.Heard the learned counsel on either side.

4.Considering the limited request of the petitioner and also taking note of the fact that the petitioner's representation dated 08.09.2025 has not been disposed of to date, the Writ Petition is allowed. The 1st respondent is directed to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 08.09.2025 on merits an in accordance with law within a period of 3 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
