ORDER

An order dated 10.05.2023 imposing interest is the subject of challenge in this writ petition. The petitioner states that he was unaware of the impugned order until he received a phone call from the office of the respondent threatening recovery. The present writ petition was filed in the said facts and circumstances.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the order pertains only to interest. He further submits that the amount confirmed under the impugned order was appropriated from the petitioner's bank account. Therefore, he makes a request that the petitioner be provided an opportunity of hearing. 2/4

3. Mr.T.N.C.Kaushik, learned Additional Government Pleader, accepts notice for the respondent. He submits that the petitioner filed a petition on 14.03.2024 seeking rectification. Such petition would be considered and disposed of expeditiously.

4. In view of the above submissions, W.P.No.7116 of 2024 is disposed of by directing the respondent to consider and dispose of the rectification petition dated 14.03.2024 on merits after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner, including a personal hearing, within a period of two months. No costs. Consequently, W.M.P.Nos.7968 and 7970 of 2024 are closed.
