ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking to quash Government Order in G.O.(D) No.225 MAWS Department dated 13.06.2019 passed by the 1st respondent and the consequential order passed by the 2nd respondent in Roc.No.18428/19/WB dated 27.02.2020 and to direct the 1st and 2nd respondents to fill up 50% of the posts in the category of Assistant Programmers by direct recruitment through Employment Exchange and also by Public Notification.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is a graduate in Computer Application. It is his submission that though there is a specific recruitment Rule under G.O.(Ms) No.162, MAWS Department dated 15.11.2016 for the Tamil Nadu Municipal Information Technology Service, violating the above Rule, the Government has promoted 79 persons vide G.O.(D) No.225 MAWS Department dated 13.06.2019. Though the petitioner has filed the present writ petition seeking the relief of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to quash the G.O.(D) No.225 MAWS Department dated 13.06.2019 and the consequential order passed by the 2nd respondent in Roc.No.18428/19/WB dated 27.02.2020, now that, the learned counsel restricts his prayer, seeking a direction against the respondent to 2/5

consider his representation.

3. In view of the same, there is no necessity to go into the merits of the matter.

4. On a perusal of the typed set, it is seen that the petitioner has already sent more than one representations on 19.03.2018, 26.07.2019 and 02.03.2020. Accordingly, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's above representations and pass orders as per law and according to its own merits, within a period of eight weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
