PRAYER - This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to dispose the application filed by the petitioner dated 10.11.2025 in the light of the proceeding TN. REV/ SLM/ 1/ COLLMGGDP/ 16774382 dated 10.11.2025 in respect of change the UDR Patta No. 836 along with the patta bearing No. 3234 in name of the Motaiyan @ Ayyamperuma Gounder for the extent of 871⁄2 cents within the stipulated time.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a limited prayer. The petitioner seeks for rectification of the UDR Patta No.836 along with the Patta bearing No.3234 in respect of the property morefully disclosed in the prayer to this Writ Petition. The petitioner had submitted an application with the 2nd respondent on 10.11.2025 for the aforesaid purpose. Since the same has not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition. 2.Mr.S.Arumugam, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 5.

3.No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioner's application as stated supra is considered on merits and in accordance with law,

after hearing the objection of the 6th respondent and any other third party whom the 2nd respondent deem fit to enquire, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's application.

4.For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's application dated 10.11.2025, seeking for correction in UDR Patta No.836 along with Patta bearing No.3234, for the property morefully disclosed in the affidavit filed in support of this Writ Petition, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioner and after hearing the objections of the 6th respondent and any other third party whom the 2nd respondent deem fit to enquire and by adhering to the principles of natural justice, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
