Mr.E.Balamurugan, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of both parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the second respondent to dispose the appeal dated 03.12.2018 filed against the order of first respondent dated 25.09.2018 arising out of patta proceedings.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that even though the said appeal filed on 03.12.2018, the same has not been disposed of by the second respondent so far.

4. Heard both sides.

5. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner in the said appeal, as it is for the second respondent to consider and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of only with a direction to the second respondent to consider the appeal filed by the petitioner and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner and other interested parties, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the second respondent within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
