Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of certiorarified mandamus calling for the records of the fourth respondent in uu.mu.No.132/2019, dated 31.12.2109 quash the same and consequentially direct the third respondent to issue the patta in the name of the petitioners as per the order of the assignment, Special Tahsildar (assignments) as per Collector Office reference RC.No.199636/81 N2, dated 29.03.1983.

What have been challenged in these writ petitions are only show cause notices issued by the 4th respondent under Section 7 of The Land Encroachment Act, 1905. The petitioners have also given their explanation.

2. In such view of the matter, we direct the 4th respondent to pass final orders by taking into consideration the reply given by the petitioners within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Needless to state that till then, status quo as on today shall be maintained by both parties.

3. With the above direction, these writ petitions stand disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
