The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded on 07.02.2020 for the offence punishable under Sections 392 and 397 IPC in Crime No.15 of 2020, seeks bail.
2. Heard both sides.
3.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused snatched away the hand bag and took away a sum of Rs.1,500/- and also a mobile phone from the defacto complainant. Hence a case has been registered against him.
4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence alleged by the prosecution. Hence he prays to grant bail to the petitioner.
5.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police submitted that the petitioner has snatched a hand bag of the defacto complainant and took away Rs.1,500/- and mobile phone. He further submitted that the petitioner is a habitual offender and he has 13 previous cases against him. Hence, he vehemently opposes for the grant of bail to the petitioner.
6.In view of the fact that the petitioner is a habitual offender and has 13 previous cases against him, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
