ORDER

The writ petition is filed for the below relief: "to consider the petitioner's representations dated 28.02.2025 and to calculate correct D.A. and to give Petitioner EL benefits difference amount.".

2. The brief facts which are culminated in the filing of this writ petition are set out below:

2.1. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner was working as Foreman in the TNSTC and retired from service. It is the contention of the petitioner that the Dearness Allowance was revised from 32% to 40% of basic pay. However, the said increase of 8% was not taken into consideration while calculation his Earned Leave. The petitioner had made a representation to the respondent to pay him the differential payment with interest. However, the same had not been considered to date by the respondents. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. Heard the learned Counsel on either side and perused the materials available on records.

4. Considering the relief now sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 28.02.2025, on merits and in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of.
